Due to my father's work, we moved around a lot. I spent most of my childhood in Kenya but have also lived in South Korea, England, Qatar, UAE and Austria. In 1997 I moved to Menorca with my two young sons (now grown up!). When I bought Villa Alhubara, it was a very basic 3-bedroom bungalow badly in need of renovation and modernisation. Gradually, over the years it has been transformed into the lovely home it is today. What was once an overgrown plot with wild bushes, rocks and some trees is now a well tended lawned garden with shrub and flower borders. In 2001 the upstairs floor was added to the property, not only to provide more space, but also to take maximum advantage of the panoramic sea views. As the villa is our winter home, it is furnished and equipped generously and comfortably.
